Jimothy's Special Talent — By AlsonAI

Jimothy is a little raccoon who feels out of place among other noisy raccoons who tease him for his round belly and short back. One day he discovers a hidden strength, moving so quietly that he finds the best hiding spots and slips past a busy market without being noticed even by a barking dog. Despite feeling sad and different, Jimothy recalls a kind girl who smiled at him and gave him a name without teasing. Encouraged by her friendship, he learns that being different can be a gift that makes him brave and unique. In the end, Jimothy finds confidence and the courage to be himself while making a new friend.

Jimothy sat on a low stone wall. He rested inside the cool green bushes. The leaves made a soft sound.

As he was staring at his belly, he noticed a little girl walking with her father.

He wondered if the girl saw his short back. He had no long, bushy tail like all the other raccoons.

Other raccoons were not nice to him. They told him he was too slow.

They said he looked funny. This made Jimothy feel very sad.

He thought he was not good. But Jimothy learned a special trick.

He learned to be very quiet. He learned to be very careful.

He knew the best hiding spots. He sneaked past the busy market. He hid from a loud dog.

His quiet way worked just fine. Jimothy peeked through the green leaves.

He thought about the nice girl at the farmers market. She did not laugh at him.

She did not chase him. She smiled and, in fact, gave him a name! Jimothy. He liked it.

She liked him just as he was. Jimothy wiggled his cute black nose.

Being different was hard sometimes. But it made him very brave and helped make real friends.
